About us:
Divine Light Ministry is an interdenominational outreach that distributes free Bibles to the poorest of the poor, to those who desperately need a Bible but cannot afford one. Through our network of evangelists, missionaries, churches, church organisations and individuals, we, by God’s grace, take God’s Word to the furthest parts of the world! Our mission is to give free Bibles to the people Christ died for throughout the entire world and make disciples from every nation, tribe, language, and people.
Divine Light Ministry believes that the highest form of evangelism is to put a Bible in a man’s and woman’s hand. We, therefore, through the generosity of our donors, buy Bibles and distribute them freely to those who cannot afford but desperately need one.
Divine Light Ministry is completely dependent on God and on the prayers and financial support of Christians, churches, businesses and other organisations to fulfil its task to make free Bibles available to all.
In addition, the organisation also distributes free books, DVDs, CDs and evangelical literature, food, blankets, clothing, medicine and more, to the poor and needy, prisoners, sick, prostitutes, drug addicts and the homeless, and HIV-Aids children and adults. We also tend their needs for rehabilitation and integration back to the society as healthy and productively citizens through our rehabilitation programs.

Divine Light Ministry fulfils the great commission daily, one Bible at time, making disciples of every nation, tribe, language, and people.
God has commanded us to bring Light into the is darkness, peace to troubled hearts, love to the unloved, understanding where confusion reigns, faith where there is doubt, power where there is fear, strength to the weak, and most important of all, the revelation of the only true God (YHWH) through Jesus Christ our Lord, to a perishing world!
This can only be accomplished by sharing God’s Word freely with those who need desperately need a Bible yet cannot afford one.
Through God’s power and grace and the generosity of donors, partners and prayers and the financial support of Christians, churches, businesses and other organisations, we are able to buy Bibles at cost and distribute them freely to those who cannot afford a Bible, thereby fulfilling our mission to make free Bibles available to all.
• Divine Light Ministry distributes free Bibles for all--in cities, villages, rural areas--in the languages of the people.
• For the illiterate and the blind, those who cannot benefit from a written Bible, Divine Light Ministry distributes audio Bibles either as CDs or in special devices that play the Bible in the recipient’s own language.
• Visual Bibles are also distributed and screened in areas where it is possible to do so.

There are six ways of getting involved-
1. Pray
You can get involved by praying with us and for us that God may open doors for those who go into the mission field, that God may prosper them by touching and opening the ears and the hearts of those to whom they minister and speak. Pray that God will grant repentance to the spiritually needy. Pray that God may grant to all the mission field workers Spiritual power by His Holy Spirit, Spiritual authority and wisdom, Spiritual guidance and strength and courage to rightly divide the Word of Truth and glorify Christ Jesus the Lord everywhere they go. Amen!
2. Go into the mission field
You can get involved by distributing free Bibles (hard copy, audio and visual), to the poor and needy, prisoners, sick, prostitutes, drug addicts, homeless, HIV-Aids children and adults in the cities, villages, rural areas or even in your own area.
3. Support the ministry financially
You can get involved by the means of financial support. We are fully aware that we are not all able to go to the mission field due to different challenges we face. However, we believe that those who stay in the congregation and support those who go to the mission field are regarded as evangelists in the eyes of God. As Scripture says:
“Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.” (2 Corinthians 9:10)
4. Fundraising
Whether you are a student, unemployed or employed part-time or full-time, you can get involved by being a part of our fundraising team, by participating in one of our fundraising initiatives and get rewarded for your effort.
5. Free Bible-a-Month Mission
What would our lives be like without having a Bible of our own? Selah!
And yet there are millions who don’t have a Bible of their own. But you can change that and change lives by making God’s Word available to those who desperately need a Bible but cannot afford one. For a donation of R50 a month, you can make Bibles available to those in need.
6. Collect Bibles
There are thousands, if not millions, of Bibles no longer used by many saints, and they don’t know what to do with these Bibles. You can get involved by helping us collect surplus Bibles in your area so that we can put one in the hands of those who desperately need a Bible but cannot afford one.
The truth is, it is not possible for those who are able to go into the mission field to go without the support of those who are not able to go because of the various challenges they may be facing. Therefore, those who go, and those who support those who go, are both one in the eyes of God.
